I am trying to get my mind to stay clear..right now I'm in a stupor...a drugged sleepiness, caused from a mix of two uber-drowsy-causing allergy pills and breathing the air that is infused with turpentine for the whole day. I feel like my head is hovering above my body instead of attached to my neck..haha

Been done with my project since..oh..two hours ago, and now I'm just trying to fill my time with doing something else before the time to go home comes (soon, my dear soldier, soon! hehehehe)

Am planning to go to our small reunion at 7..hopefully I can get rid of this stupor because I am getting ddiiizz..zzier and dddiiiii...zzier by the minute. I guess now I am sure that turpentine is not good for your body...

The Insomniac

Hm....
it's almost 1am...and I can't sleep...
This insomniac bug is back...felt like it's been a while since the last time I had trouble sleeping.
But not really. It hasn't been that long.
I just hope that I can work without dozing off tomorrow

Today...I am having a bend-the-rules day. Well, just a little bit.

Well by the way today around 4-ish, the sky got really dark. So dark I couldn't see a thing but my own reflection from the windows. Then it rained hard and I could see lightnings from the 12th floor. It was scary. It was exciting. I thought "hm..when was the last time I walked in the rain..it is so tempting to go outside and just..be soaked". Guess I didn't realize that I was thinking out loud because my co-workers looked at me like I was mental.

Hm...you know what...that reminds me of my early post when I just started this blog 3 years ago..let me look it up.

Well my dear friends...I am walking on a weird path right now. Discovering stuff that I didn't know before, about me, about other people.
How one can lose a lot and gain a lot more at the same time. I just hope that I won't be so blinded by my loss I'm not going to appreciate or even realize the things that I gained.

Patch. To patch. Patching up is what I need to do right now. Patch it up good so it may stand other blows, and move on.

One thing though...I just want to say that I may not know what it feels to be in love yet...but I do know love, and I believe I do get love. I love you guys, who always have my back. So..I love you guys. And thank you. That's all I can say. And I hope you guys know that I would do the same for each and every one of you in a heart beat. You may not know how much you've helped me so I'm letting you know now. I am standing here intact, with my head held up high, and quite happy. I'm sure I'll get my mojo back in no time, and it's all thanks to you guys. I love you =)

I just got a phone call from somebody I don't know...and did not want to give me his name. He gave me names of other people that he thought I'm supposed to know. I didn't recognize any of them. He said he was from the "kepolisian". And still gave me list of names I didn't recognized instead of giving me his own. And after that, he got pissed off that I didn't recognize his voice and told me: "Yaudah ya bu ya lain kali kalo ada perlu apa2 nggak usah telepon2 kesini lagi".
Geez...!!

Save Bandung!!!!!

Ada satu issue yang bikin gue akhir2 ini rada khawatir nih...
Bandung will not be Bandung anymore!

It started when I first noticed that it is actually easier to drive in Jakarta than in Bandung. I mean..what was that? I always thought that to be the opposite. Maybe it was...ah..so sad..

And then I got an invitation to sign a petition to save Babakan Siliwangi. The local gov't is planning to destroy the whole green spot into a mall. A friggin' mall!!!!!!!! (By the way guys let's support those who is fighting to save Baksil...for those of you who hasn't sign the petition, you can do it here http://www.petitiononline.com/baksil/petition.html)

Terus, tadi gue ngobrol ama kenalan gue yang kerja di PU...katanya sekarang mereka lagi nego sama pemkot Bandung buat menyebarkan pusat bisnis ga cm di jakarta, tp mau coba dialirkan ke Bandung...I was a little nervous hearing that...So I told him, if you guys are going to do it, please at least keep it green in any way possible...

Waa...udah lama ngga denger lagu Stop n Starenya One Republic. Gue jadi inget St. Louis lagi kl denger lagu ini abis disana sering banget diputer dimana2 pas waktu2nya gue udah ampir cabut hehehehe.
Inget juga waktu kerja dulu di BofA pas lunch, g suka parkir di area Shop n Save sebelah bank gue, cari parkiran yg paling pojok dan sepi, trus makan lunch gue dengan tenang sambil dengerin radio/mp3 and sambil baca hehehe.

Yah eniweiii....bonyok lagi pergi nih selama seminggu. Rumah sepiiii, tadi malem baru kerasa tuh..untung banyak film bagus di tivi hihi..nontonin CSI ama ada film Eragon juga tuh.

Teyuus....apalagi ya....doh ngga tau nih gue lagi ngantuk and lemes banget, padahal belom juga jam 10 pagi inii....
Ini...btw....space bar di laptop gue kok berdecit2 mulu gini sih??? Kesannya jadi kayak ada tikus kecil dibawah keyboard gue yang ekornya kepencet2 space bar (apa sih?? hehehehe)

I miss my giiiirrrllllsss.....dulu sih kl lg suntuk gini gampang tinggal ke delmar/drunken fish....indulging myself with a cold b and that sushi goodness with my girlfriends...
Huff...this is when I miss Saint Louis the most. The ability to just go anywhere, whenever I want without having to worry about stuff , with people who are close to me.

I remember the last time I had a big "issue"..., I drove around the highways of St. Louis, in the middle of the night, for hours, without having to worry about anything but the stuff that was happening.

Yeah I miss that. Like now, when I just want to get away, I can't. Well at least not as freely, and definitely not without other stuff that I am "forced" to worry about.

Everybody is still a stranger (for now)...and boy does it feel lonely. I know that this is a process...but you know me..the queen of instant gratification..hehehe.
I know I know...spoiled brat..just say it. But nyah nyah....do I look like I care? ;p

Yeah I need a doze of my old life. Luckily tomorrow I'll meet some of them (hopefully). Hopefully it'll be able to recharge my spirit. It's been too damn low. For too damn long.

Wah gue lagi rajin ngupdate blog gini yaaa
Hari ini kayaknya gue lagi ngerasa zombie-like gitu deh...tadi juga pas bangun tuh sempet seriously thinking about skipping work. But then conscience kicked in, I don't think the guilt is worth the extra oh..probably 2 hrs of sleep at the most. So I dragged my lazy self out of bed.

Geez...need to smile more today missy..I mean, real smile that comes from the inside, not the faux..plastered on my face kind.

For those of you who knows about my love of driving, yeah well I've been feeling the utter laziness...just flat out refusing to drive since yesterday. I am lucky my dad has a driver, but even if we don't have any, I think I'd still find some other way to go, prolly taxi or busway.

Oooh I hate it when there's something that keeps annoyingly gnawing on my consciousness all day like this..and it's been 2 days! It's like no matter what I do my mind keeps going back to this...thing that I am having. Damn you, mind! Please be cooperative for once, got a shitload of work to do!

Ini gue teh lagi kerja sambil dengerin radio. Lagi dengerin Putus di Prambors, ini Dagienkz (sori kl salah spellnya ga usah protes deh) ama Desta. Mereka lagi bikin kuis gitu. Jadi mereka nyanyiin satu lagu, tapi liriknya dr lagu lain. Nah barusan mereka nyanyiin Backstreet Boys yg As Long As You Love Me, rencananya mo pake nada Topi Saya Bundar, cuma susah bener kayanya..ujung2nya selalu jadinya either Indonesia Raya atau Halo2 Bandung hihihihihihi. Udah gitu pas mereka berhasil nyanyiin juga jadinya keluarnya dodol banget hihihihi

Oh wow I am actually employed...and in a relationship right now..all in less than 2 months after I came back to Indo! hahaha..dayum..that's what i call speed hehehe
well...i was actually started to work with the consulting company that i am working for right now as an intern this monday. and 3 days later i was hired..whoa that was fast..i was supposed to be an intern for 3 months!

yah eniwei...i am very...very..very grateful for everything that was given to me. woohoo!!

update?

Kay so....an update from me..
So far things have been normal (whatever normal means)..just did an MRI today to check what the heck is wrong with my lower back (tukang urutnya kurang sakti ternyata, so I'm turning back to the world of professional medicine..*sigh)
And then we are planning to move to a new place in (maybe) 3 weeks or so...we hunted for furniture at JDC yesterday and visited the house today. It's going great =)
Aand..I've (finally) started applying for jobs and such hahaha..paraaah parah

Oiya akhirnya gue nonton juga tu Laskar Pelangi minggu lalu sama Gusur..the movie was good...but the book is still better..seperti kebanyakan film2 yang berasal dr buku lah...kecuali Lord of the friggin Rings maybe..hehehehe

The value of "Nungging"

Yak tepat sekali, seperti judulnya, pada hari ini saya akan membicarakan nilai dari sebuah aktivitas kecil yang sering dinamakan nungging, atau mungkin bahasa kerennya "membungkuk" (halah). Pan gini nih, udah dari sekitar 3 minggu yang lalu dakuw mengalami sakit pinggang alias encok mungkin ya..sejak selesai pindahan dari Cypress ke Dorsett. Dicurigai penyebabnya adalah urat yang kejepit. Nah gara2 urat yang kejepit inilah gue jadi kesusahan buat bungkuk, dan gara2 gue susah bungkuk itulah gue jadi nyadar bahwa ngebungkuk itu perlu!!!
Iya bener, ini adalah salah satu aktivitas kecil yang di take for granted banget deh. Contoh yang paling sering mah ya, kalo misalnya gue mo ngambil barang gitu dari lantai, duh susahnyaa...udah kayak ibu2 hamil aja gitu deh. Jadi kl ada barang yang ngga sengaja jatuh atau emang letaknya udah dibawah, keluarlah itu jurus beruang encok atau ya gue jepit pake jari2 kaki gue (ada untungnya juga jarak antara jempol dan telunjuk kaki gue jaraknya lebar hihi). Cuma ya...iya kalo barang2 yang diperluin masih kecil2 kayak pensil...buku..atau apa kek gitu. Nah kalo yang jatoh kulkas atau mesin tik? Gue rasa selebar apapun jarak antara jempol dan telunjuk kaki gue, masih ngga bakalan keangkat deh.

Nah laluu...hari ini gue ke tukang urut tuh di Bandung, tepatnya di Lembang. Kabarnya sih dia bisa nyembuhin yang patah2 segala. Jadilah gue diurut disitu. Sakitnyaaa....duh amit2 deh. Ini sekarang gue udah bisa ngebungkuk sih, cuma nyut2annya sih masih belom ilang ya..doain aja mudah2an bisa sembuh huhuhuhu. Udah setengah mati niiiih....

it's 4:18 am now..in about 3.5 hours i will be leaving saint louis...
i've been trying to sleep but it's no use..i just turn from side to side..ngga bisa tidur!
mana ini kaki gue gatel2 gitu...kayak yang digigit serangga. udah 3 hari-an kl ngga salah deh, and it's getting worse. gue nyoba cari2 ctm atau incidal tapi ngga tau ditaro dimana...adit nando ama mas hep semua lagi bobo jadi gue juga ngga enak kalo kasak kusuk nyari obat dimana2..duh gatelll... :(

ini koper gue juga sepertinya bakal overweight and/or oversize deh...duh mahal nih bayarnya
mobil gue hari ini udah laku dibeli ama jeff...tapi masih ditinggal disini sih ntar mungkin besok bakal di pick up sama dia

Oh my God...ini udah hari rabu...tinggal 4 hari lagi gue bisa tinggal di US sini...huff sediiih...

Kalo udah gini hari tuh rasanya cepet banget lewatnya. So much things left to be done, so many people to see for the last time, but there isn't enough time!

pindahan oh pindahan

Huwaaa...punggungku sakit sekaliiii.....
duh ini ya...pindahan...ga selesai2 kayanya..
cuma, by some miracle, apartemen yang di cypress berhasil juga dikosongin dan dibersihin..kinclong. we were so proud of ourselves!! haha
Sekarang udah pindah ke apartemen yang baru, dan lokasinya sebelah2an ama Creve Coeur park. Ini yah pemandangannya kalo buka jendela kayak hutan gitu, trus bunyi2 jangkrik ngga cuma buat malem doang tapi seharian, ini jadi serasa lagi nginep di wood cabin tengah2 hutan gitu haha seru juga. Cuma masalahnya kita ngga bisa buka pintu depan lama2. Gara2 belakangnya hutan belantara gitu jadi suka banyak serangga2 yang udah nongkrongin di depan pintu, nah begitu kita buka pintu, pasti adaaaa aja 1-2 ngengat atau apapunlah itu yang ikutan masuk. Udah gitu ada nyamuk2 pulaa...udah lama gue tinggal di st louis sini ngga pernah terganggu sama nyamuk, eh taunya ada juga tempat yang banyak nyamuknya. Kalo gue pribadi sih ngga terlalu kena gangguan ya, cuma for some reason they lo--ve nando hihi. Jadi tu anak banyak bentol2 sampe nyari obat gatel segala di walgreens, kesian. ;p

Sekarang udah mulai clear out sedikit2 sih box2nya..rada bingung juga soalnya ini apt jauh lebih kecil drpd apt kita yang di cypress, jadi banyak juga barang2 yang kita buangin. Ceritanya mau mulai hidup minimalis (apaan sih ;p). Ntar kalo udah mulai layak diliat gue foto2in deh apartemen barunya.

Huwaah...ngantukk....ini baru tidur 3-4 jam an doang..udah gitu punggung gue sakit gini lagi udah 3 hari-an. eh iya maaf lahir batin yaaaa...udah mulai puasa ni kitaaa...
kemaren hari pertama alhamdulillah lancar sih, mungkin karena sibuk (dan bangunnya siang) jadi ngga terlalu kerasa ya..padahal bukanya jam 1/2 8 malem gara2 disini lagi summer. I'd better lose some weight at the end of the month! ;p

Update?

Yuhuu...halo2 bandung saudara2 sebangsa dan setanah air!

Huhuhu lagi day off bermalas2an di kasur seharian inii....tapi ngga papa, gue berhak soalnya biasanya kerja mulu, dan tadi malem stay up sampe jam 4 pagi, udah diniatin bakal bangun siang tapi entah kenapa badan ini secara ngga sopan bangun dengan segarnya pada jam 7:30 pagi dong sodara2..huff
....ya akhirnya buat bikin impasnya, gue males2an aja di kasur seharian. Padahal harusnya packing loh ini...weekend ini kita udah harus pindah ke tempat baru, dan sabtu pas hari pindahannya, gue ngga bisa ikutan soalnya gue harus kerja di 2 tempat. Dan gue ngga bisa bolos kerja karna hari sabtu itu lah hari terakhir gue kerja di pusat2 pencarian nafkah gue itu selama 5-6 bulan terakhir ini..
Eniwei...bentar lagi gue balik for good ke indo nih...in less than a month, mon dieu!!!
Dee ama Tina juga sudah cabut ke san fransisco meninggalkan hidup gue di saint louis jadi kering kerontang tanpa samantha dan miranda gue itu (halah...sok2an kayak yang ngikutin sex and the city aja haha)
Waduh sodara2 sekalian, ternyata sekarang udah jam 1/2 2 siang...daku mau siap2 dulu ya, eke udah ada appointment di salon mo potong rambut..yuukk

Fatigue

As far as I can remember, I don't think have ever felt this tired before. I know..I know...cry me a river, just like a friend of mine would say..but still..
Kayanya hati gue makin mantep aja buat pengen pulang. Kalo bisa secepetnya..
Gue emang belom tau pasti yang gue cari dalam hidup tu apa..tapi gue hampir pasti dan kayanya emang udah ngerasa deep inside, that I will not find what I'm looking for here.

Sekarang ini gue lagi menikmati aja kerjaan baru gue di bank, walaupun jarang balance at the end of the day (don't ask lah hihi)
Trus seneng juga soalnya ada cowoker yang bisa dikecengiiin ;p. Tapi sayangnya shift kita jarang bareng sih jadinya jarang liat juga huhuhu

udah dr minggu2 kemaren pengen banget ke illinois ngeliat jehan, tapinya boro2 sempet deh...i don't even have weekends now..jadi my typical schedule tu kerja jam 830 pagi di bank sampe siang, trus break 2-3 jam before going to work at kobe sampe jam 10-11:30 malem...and so on
seneng nih minggu ini akhirnya gue bisa dapet break soalnya hampir sama sekali ngga kerja di kobe, cuma sabtu doang jadi gue bisa rada nyante abis pulang kerja dari bank hehehehe

aaand...apalagi ya...i guess that's all for now? i have to get ready nih janji lunch with the girls =)

Ntar siang mo lunch ma temen di buffalo wild wings tapi kok rada males ini yaa...ntar malem juga sepertinya ada dinner tapi belom tau mau dimana hehehe

Just got my U2 album yang All That You Can't Leave Behind today, so happy! I am currently listening to it now and loving it! Apalagi di luar lagi ujan2 gitu...tutup pintu kamar, lampu redupin, aaahhh how peaceful! ^_^

Aduuh...Yovita udah pulang hari Jumat kemaren....trus Sabtu minggu ini si Deni ikut pulang pula! Doooh makin sepi dan ilang aja ni temen2 hang out gue di StL. Ahh Yovitaaaa....Deniiii....sobat2 fun kuuuuu! Gimana nasib perdugeman kita kl gini caranya ini!! Ikut pulang aja kali ya? hahaha

Btw gue alhamdulillah udah ngerasa agak baikan sih hari ini sakitnya. Tinggal mengclearkan mucus2 menyebalkan ini..
Besok sore kerja interpreter...trus rabu kerja gantiin Sachiko. Lumayaan...pemasukan lagii...hihihi..

Aduuu ini badan kok sakit2 gini siihh...tulang2 gue ngilu semua giniii....kemaren sempet sakit tenggorokan sih...awal2nya pas hari selasa gitu masih ga enak2 biasa aja, tapi terus rabunya gue keluar main ke city museum seharian (yang menyebabkan lutut gue dua2nya bengep2 biru2 lebam kayak korban penganiayaan gitu) udah gitu pulangnya jalan ke rumahnya rashid (temennya yovita) yang emang cuma beberapa blok dr situ, dingin, ujan, dan gue ga pake jaket apa2 sama sekali dooongg...udah gitu lanjut ke kafe malem2, ujan lagi dan dingin lagi, trus lanjut ke tempat yovita ampe past midnight. Walhasil lahhh....gue sakit besoknya huehuehuehue

Udah gituuu....pas rabu itu, dee ama tina kan bawa mobil gue pulang karena kita misah, dan si say aku satu itu mogok ditengah jalan sampe akhirnya harus ditow...those poor girls...akhirnya untuk pertama kalinya si say mogok..tapi sekarang udah sembuh lagiii (walopun mahal nyembuhinnya, hiks hiks hiks)

Hari jumat ma sabtu gue terpaksa kerja walopun masih sakit. Wah pas jumatnya itu yah..pas mo berangkat kerja rasanya kayak udah mo metong gitu...untungnya hari itu lagi ga rame2 banget dan si Jesus banyak bantuin gue juga karena liat gue udah kayak mayat idup kali yaa...trus gue juga bolak-balik ke server station mulu nyari minum soalnya tenggorokan kering banget, belom batuk2 mulu kena asep, si Kent the bartender and Freddy the busboy juga nanya gitu gue kenapa soalnya biasanya tiap mereke ngisengin gue pasti gue bales, jumat kemaren gue pasrah2 aja mo diapain juga hihi. Sabtu udah rada mendingan, terutama pas udah mulai sibuk, I didn't have time to think about my condition. Orang2 iseng itu juga ngeliat gue sepertinya baikan karena keisengan2 mereka sudah gue balas dengan setimpal!!! huh
Tapi eniwei gue kemaren dapet the last table, 12 teenagers...ALL want separate checks!! dangit...but they tipped me good tho so it's ok...hehehehe. Cuma kl dapet last table tuh ya, nggak enaknya, yang laen udah bisa mulai ngerjain side job masing2, gue masih sibuk ngurusin meja. Untungnya side job gue tadi malem dikerjainnya be2, jadi gue ga banyak2 banget kerjaannya. Tapi ya tetep, beresnya paling terakhir dan makannya juga yang paling terakhir gitu.

Yah eniwei lagii...gue mo bobo dulu yaaa...mudah2an sakit gue cepetan sembuh deh. Right now I am still losing the ability to smell and taste. Which is bad for a food lover like moi! I need to taste what I eat! ;p

tapi masih dingin gini sih suhunya...minggu kemaren udah mulai rada anget and i thought it will continue rising or at least stay like that since it is supposed to be spring already. sigh..

Wah...hari ini ujan lagi...kemaren malem juga ujan. Seneng udah lama ga ujan hehehe

Btw kemaren nyobain makan di Culpeppers ama Tina n Yovita, gue pesen fried catfish gitu, enak juga ternyata. Apa cuma gara2 gue lagi laper aja ya itu malem2 hihihihi

Wa udah jam 11:23 lagi ga kerasa giniii....bentar lagi mandi aahh (haha malu2in ga sih mandinya siang banget, uda gitu pake protes pula).

Hari jumat malem kemaren kita ke club baru yang di Ameristar itu rame2. Clubnya bagus juga. Mereka ada 2 ruangan kepisah gitu, 1 yang bagian loungenya jadi isinya sofa2 gitu, trus sebelahnya bagian dancefloornya. Securitynya lumayan ketat juga, orang kita mo masuk aja pemeriksaan IDnya 2 kali..udah gitu ada yang jaga lagi sebelom pintu masuk yang benerannya. Trus pas udah nyampe dalem, banyak sekuriti mondar-mandir, dan di tiap2 entrance ke dance floor pasti ada 1 sekuriti nongkrong. Whooh...talk about security! Guest DJnya cute sekaliii.... namanya DJ Berrie. A tall amerasian...cool, ngga pecicilan...cute!! ;p
